Mother

In a land steeped in myth, shamans deceive a father into sacrificing his son to the sea, claiming it will bring a tsunami to cleanse their village of sins. Stolen from his mother in the dead of night, the boy's fate is sealed as elders whisper of redemption through destruction. As the tsunami actually strikes, the grieving mother, in her final moments, curses the ocean—ensuring its waters will forever taste of the tears her son never got to shed.
